LegalPrivacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Furrybook collects, why we collect it, how we protect it and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to run the service.
Last updated: October 26, 2026
1. Who we are
Furrybook is the controller of the personal data described here, except for the animal and client records an organization stores in its workspace: for those, the organization is the controller and Furrybook acts as its processor. You can reach us at info@furrybook.app.
2. Data we collect
We collect the account data you give us (name, email address, sign-in details, language and display preferences), the content you add (animal profiles, records, notes, images, appointments, contacts), billing information handled by our payment provider, and technical data such as device type, IP address and usage logs.
3. How we use your data
We use data to provide and secure the service, authenticate you, share records as you direct, send sign-in codes and notifications, process payments, provide support, improve the product and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use animal records for advertising.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, your consent where we ask for it (for example, optional cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only as you direct, with the providers and people you invite, and with trusted vendors that help us run Furrybook, such as hosting, email delivery, payments and analytics. These vendors act under written agreements and may only use data to provide their services. We may disclose data when required by law.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. With your consent we also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can accept or decline them in the cookie notice and change your choice through your browser settings at any time.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete content or your account, we remove it from active systems and from backups within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it longer for legal, tax or security reasons.
8. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls enforced at the database level, and role-based permissions. No system is perfectly secure, so we also monitor for abuse and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. When we transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area, we use safeguards such as the European Commission standard contractual clauses.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise a right, write to info@furrybook.app. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Children
Furrybook is not directed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and we will update the date above.
13. Contact
